Hi I have read all of Ms. Wittig series, I first got introduced to this writer reading a review in the magazine "The Herb Companion." and have read every review in that mag, since. Frequently, her new release are advertise prior to the bookstores so I always start searching for the newest! China also has a news letter that you can subscribe through the Herb Companion on recipes from China and friends, as well as herb crafting i.e. wreaths, gardening.

"Lavender Lies" was great! Bless my librarian who put me on the list; I picked it up the day they shelved it and read it that night. OK, I admit I "skimmed" some of the lengthy landscape descriptions :-) I'll be buying my own copy to re-read after the holidays if someone doesn't pick up on my hints and get it for me.

I was lucky enough to meet Mrs. Albert and her husband when they talked at Muncie, Indiana. I had not tried her books at that time. I love it. Now I highlight the parts that talk about the herbs of the story. I also greatly enjoy the books they write together under Robin Paige. Keep reading.

Looking through the "P" list I see no listing for Susan Albert & her husband 's work under the name Robyn Paige. they are very good historical mysteries. Both series are worth the attention. I liked the B. Potter book the best so far.

I will look for the new book. I like how she describes the uses and effects of the herbs. I learn as I read.

It's been a long while since anyone has posted here! I just wanted to come by and say how much I love the China Bayles series! (although I've only read two of them...Thyme of Death and Rosemary Remembered.) I'm going to read the entire series, so I have a lot of great reading to look forward to! I enjoy reading about and learning about the herbs, the characters, and the liberal sprinkling of Texas colloquialisms! They always make me laugh!

When I finish with the China Bayles series, I am going to give the Robin Paige books a try. I'll bet they're wonderful, too!
