Diane Mott Davidson's series features Goldie, who is the catering queen of Aspen Meadow, Colorado and who is aided in her sleuthing by homicide cop, Tom Schulz. No matter what the setting, Goldie finds herself involved in the solving of yet another crime. Very likable characters and filled with mouth-watering recipes from Goldy's kitchen. Among the titles are: Catering to Nobody; The Cereal Murders; Dying For Chocolate; The Grilling Season; Killer Pancakes; and The Main Corpse.Discuss your favorite Davidson story below.

I love this series. Listened to Sticks and Scones book on tape last summer when we drove to Virginia. Is Chopping Spree out in pb yet? This would make a great tv series.

Coming Soon The New Goldie mystery
(DOUBLE SHOT)
The Reason for the hiatus, Aparently Mrs. Davidson switched sublishers.
Just started reading these books, but I have gone through most of them. Good books. Just curious, has anyone tried the recipies? Most just seem a bit too complicated for me.
I read Catering to Nobody a few years ago, before I was into the whole Food Network and culinary craze. At the time, I wasn't sure whether I liked Goldy's character or not. However, I have just begun reading Dying for Chocolate - I'm about 150 pages in - and I absolutely love her character. The mystery is fun, as well. I think that, as a "foodie," I'm enjoying the book even more. Davidson really seems to have a great knowledge of food and the culinary world, and the recipes - none of which I've tried - really add to the story. This is definitely a series that I'll be reading for years to come.
just to pass on a little something to everyone..if you like the books by diane then you'll like hannah swensen series by joanne fluke..
