You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!
I've never listened to an audio book, but I really like this author.

This is a nice change of pace from the usual female PI or Amateur Sleuth. The protagonist is a female cop and the characters she interacts with are unusual and interesting. I thought this had a thought provoking psychological aspect to it. This is not your every day story. I am hoping that the first book, The 37th Hour is a prologue to this book and that it gives the details about the case involving her husband and friend. I will definitely be looking into that.

Some days I just want to be a MISSING PERSON
I have listened to audio books and even use to create them when i attended a blind school. I think this book would work fine as an audio book.

My three special angels.....
I just got a copy of the 37th hour and am looking forward to starting it. I'm leaving for a small vacation in Florida this week and now after listening to all of you, am definitely taking this story along. Will let you know what I think when I get back.

I just bought 37th Hour also! I'm looking forward to reading it - so many books, so little time, ha ha!
I bought this book at a Friends of the Library Book Sale because I thought it might be interesting. I am so glad I did not let it languish on my bookshelf for long! The writing in this book is wonderful. The plot and characters are extremely believable. I finished it last night, and I immediately went on line to see if she had written another one! Excellent book.

I agree, Jeni. I haven't started 37th Hour yet, mainly due to time constraints, but I am looking forward to it, as I loved Sympathy.
I loved The 37th Hour and highly reccomend it to anyone who loves a mystery / police action book. When I finished it and realized that there was a follow up book with the same charater Sarah Pribek, I had to get it as soon as I could b/c I wanted to find out what happened to her and her relationships. I just finished Simply Between Humans and loved it. I hoped that Jodi Compton contiues to write books based on this character b/c I want to see what happens to her. Hope you all read these two books, I enjoyed them so much that I couldn't put them down. Michele
I just finished both books, The 37th Hour and Sympathy
Between Humans. I can't wait for her next one!!

I read these books out of order, so I was feeling a little angry at Sarah in the beginning of 37th Hour - because of some things that happened in Sympathy Between, but by the time I was finished with 37th Hour, I understood things. I'd also like to see this character continued.
