I read all Mr.Parker's novels. Now I am waiting for his latest "Cold Service"....
He inspired me so, I wrote my own mystery novel..."The Nick Edwards Novel". It is pending at this point. These will be based on my own cases when I was a P.I.
My question...Do I need Mr. Parker's permission to use his name in my 'ACKNOWLEDGEMENT'? Please contact me. Thank-you very much. I salute you Mr. Robert B. Parker.
In Double Play, Mr. Parker lists several
1947 box scores. I haven't been able to
find anyone who can tell me what the
column headings 'O' and 'A' are for. Any
help available here? Thanks.
Can anyone tell me what book Pearl The Wonder Dog dies in and how she dies. All of a sudden, they got a replacement dog, and I do not remeber Pearl dying, or how she died. --Pat

Pearl The Wonder Dog was mentioned in the book "BACK-STORY". Paul and Quirk stated their sympathy's. Spenser accepted them, but didn't care to elaborate.
But if I remember, some stories back, I believe it was mentioned one time or another, Pearl had arthritis and the Parker family had to put Pearl down, for the lack of another word. But don't quote me on that.

spencer and hawk met while boxing each other at age 17,they tell the story to susan at dinner they both claim to win, then hawk gets jumped by racists outside after their bout and spenser jumps in to help hawk and they kick 8 guys rear ends.
I once got on to Robert B. Parkers site where you could contact him and find out all about him. His home page was very nice, but now I can't seem to get to it anymore. Any suggestions?
In Sudden Mischief Chapter 42, Spenser and Hawk are sitting outside in a car waiting for Velvet to be delivered. Once he is inside with her he says that Henry Cimoli is outside waiting to drive her any place she wants to go. Am I missing something, that seems like a glaring mistake?

Sorry Doug, I do not read this author. Anyone??
Robert B. Parker's last novel Sixkill was one of the most enjoyable of all his many books that I have read and I have read them ALL. It was with great sadness that I closed that book knowing it was his last...I truly feel I have lost a close and dear friend. Thank you Dr. Parker for transporting me and so many others to "Spenser's World".
I am looking for a Spenser novel. What was the title of the book where Spenser is shot and almost killed, but is brought back to health by Hawk and Susan in California???
