Carol Diemer - 12:18pm Jan 29, 1999 PSTMy three special angels.....Thanks Fran, it works. This is a broad category, I know, and if someone has a better name for it, I'm all ears. By this I mean a homemaker like Jane Jeffries, a caterer like Goldy Schultz, inn keepers like Claudia Bishop's Sarah and Meg Quilliam. I could go on and on, but reading about sleuths like these let me escape into their worlds. If they can solve a crime, then so can I.
I love putting what I've learned from reading mysteries to work and see if I can figure out whodunit before the end.
I have often said if Jessica Fletcher was in LA, OJ wouldn't have stood a chance.
Thanks, Carol D.

I'd say if Barnes & Noble or Amazon don't have 'em, then you're out of luck, cuz they've got 'em all.
Try this for title listings...it's one of the best ones I've found. She lists both mystery writers and romance writers. However,on some rare occastions her lists aren't complete. She also indicates which authors have new books coming out in that given year. www.myunicorn.com/biblios.html
I like overweight women charaters/and culinary mysteries best.If you know of any to write me

Hi Everyone! Just finished a brilliant first book in an all-new girl amateur sleuth series: Veronica Chase Diaries. It was suspenseful and definitely a page- turner! Very refreshing to see the genre is still alive in 2004. Can't wait for the 2nd book in the series! I definitely reccommend this book!
