Agreed, Fran. But it sure started off with a B*A*N*G. Had me on the edge of my seat, but it did run out of steam. However, was better than the big guy in that hockey mask by a long shot.
JEEPERS CREEPERS STARTED OFF BRILLIANTLY, HOWEVER FINDING OUT THE KILLER WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING AND RUINED THE WHOLE FILM.BEGINNING=TOPS END=POOR

Very interesting summary, Sophie Jethwa. That is almost exactly how I phrased my thoughts on the movie - had me on the edge of the seat and then suddenly it just started to fall apart. It did have more potential than most, however.
The Fugetive
You know the part when they are in the cort room and listening to the discussion of the wife calling for help.Well after she said "He is trying to kill me" the first time she was already dead .PROOF:the first time she said it her voice was soo low and unclear the second time her voice was loud and clear it was obviosly a recording for when she said richard too.PLEASE!!!!! it is so fake and they expect you to belive it was her real voice!!

If you've seen "The Ring," what did you think? That movie positively got a reaction from me - scared me silly in other words. A freind told me that it is a remake of a Japanese Thriller by the same name, now I bet that would be even more frightening.
Speaking of Japanese thrillers - "Show me Something," is also a very strange, but totally interesting film. Rated "R"

You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!
Marlowe, I thought I had become jaded by so called thriller movies, but I have to say, this movie also gave me the creeps!

Someone I work with told me "The Ring" is a remake of a Japanese film which is even scarier - I can believe that.

What is more powerful the The Force or The Borg? The craving for chocolate, of course!
yup it is called "Ringu"
Haven't seen either yet but plan to get them both soon
love thrillers and john clowe is my hero
Recently saw 'Fallen'...good one i'd say!
I think the movie seven, with Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt is one of the best thrillers of all time
I prefer psychological mysteries, and for me plausibility always plays a primary role. A recent one such film I watched was Lantana, brilliantly plausible but remains a mystery till the very end. Based on his play "Speaking In Tongues",set in Australia, Andrew Bovell wrote the screenplay."Lantana" is a true whodunit for adults, set around four marriages and thrives on synchronicity and coincidence. One strength it has was how ready we are to make ready judgements which often prove wrong. It's the only mystery which actually moved me to tears.Exquisitely acted and casted.
