I'm pretty sure the episode was called REST IN PEACE MRS COLOMBO.....

Has anyone ever noticed that in the episode Rest In Peace Mrs.Columbo that when Vivian and Columbo enter the house and Columbo goes into the kitchen , when Vivan is looking at the picture on the piano that Columbo's picture is on the second side of the frame. Plus why would she want to kill his wife

She blamed Colombo for the death of her husband in prison. She was mentally unbalanced and wanted him to feel the pain she felt and that by losing his wife, he would hurt as much as she did.

Columbo is the best!!! I wish he'd come out in a cartoon; James Bond had a nephew called James Bond, Jr. about a decade ago & my son loved it.

Does anyone remember a newer Columbo where a rich man's wife runs away and he is suspected of killing her, however, she returns and is alive! Then he gets the bright idea that he will actually murder her and make it look like she ran away! He murders his wife in their bedroom. They were having their bedroom remodeled and he puts her in the beams - and the next day the construction guys drywall her body in the cavity of the walls without knowing it. The husband also put her purse in there because he was trying to make it look like she had ran away (and would have taken her purse). Anyway Columbo calls her cell phone (I think) and somehow they discover the body that way. Anyway, I would ike to know if this rings any bells because I want to find what this episode was called. Gay???!!! What would give you that idea? There was a Mrs. Columbo - he talked about her all the time. Later, a series was made about Mrs. Columbo starring Kate Mulgrew in the title role.

This is to 5/1/2005 I believe it was Diedre Hall in the wall & the watch beeping I remember quite well.

I however have a new question for everyone. I remember jack Cassidy in one Columbo, however recently discovered Jack starred in 2 Columbo episodes! I know the one was a magician, but don't know the other one.
