Loophole in moral code: It's okay to steal a car if it belongs to your kidnappers.-The Whispering Statue

This book is a must read! Do the names Ed, Harriet, and Milderd mean anything to you?

Yes, Ed could be short for Edward. Harriet and Edna were the children of Edward Stratmeyer who was the founder of the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boy books, along with many other series. Harriet Stratmeyer Adams took over the writting of the books from Mildred Wirt Benson. Mildred was the first author of the Nancy Drew books in the 1930's.

Is there any better idol than Nancy Drew? Think about it: she's intelligent, pretty, confident, brave... although that whole "people trying to kill me" thing might get tiring after a while...

Wicked!
