how do you get the spigots to work.

Hey guys! I can't remember where Red Knotts said his observatory was and I need to get the boat fixed!

PLEASE answer back quickly!!!

I am in the Well room and I am stuck on the door to get to the gold. It says to turn the center wheel and then turn the left handle. I can't!!! I always drown. Please help me if you have finished the game.

Once you take a couple of steps out of the cabin, take a right and follow the path all the way to the end. There should be a big tree. Red's observatory is at the top. [He will only be there at night]

On the left side of the pipes, only the wheel of valve 1 can be turned. Turning it doesn't do anything obvious. One the right side of the pipes, you are allowed to examine things closely. There is a hole drilled through valve 3, the one that is missing a wheel, as if you could slide something into that hole. Valve 4 seems to be locked. You can examine the display closely, too; you see a reading of "Fill Rate" and "Water Level".

You need to drop the water level so you can open the vault door. And unless you also drop the fill rate, the tank will refill after you drop the water level.

((To drop the fill rate, Return to the left side of the pipes, and turn the wheel of valve 1. Now return to the right side of the pipes and try turning the wheel of valve 4. The valve is now unlocked. Turning it doesn't appear to do anything obvious, but have you checked the display? Turning the wheel of valve 4 on the right side of the pipes changes the "Fill Rate" from a plus to a minus. This will stop the water tank from being filled if the water were to be emptied.))

((To drop the water level, You must first find the missing wheel to valve 3. If you turn around to the closed passageway door, you see the missing wheel, just lying there. Take it, return to the right side of the pipes, and fit the wheel onto valve 3. Turning it doesn't seem to work; the wheel just spins on the valve. You have to firmly attach the wheel to the valve. See the hole drilled into the valve? You still have the screwdriver. Slip it into the hole. You should now be able to turn valve 3 on the right side of the pipes. When you turn it, the "Water Level" display changes, and you hear water draining out of the tank. If you had not dropped the fill rate earlier, you would be hearing the tank refilling now.))

Now, once all this is done, all is quiet. Return to the vault door. Unlock it by spinning the wheel on the vault door. Now open the door. And step through it... ;]
