The typing noise are coming from a specific room, and if you keep walking by each room, you will know which one to stop at.

As for the elevator, take the stairs to the basement. Keep walking like you are going to see Jauques, but when you see infron of the hallway two boxes on the wall, stop in front of them. The one with the lever fixes the elevator, just pull it.

exotica, you have to go to the basement where the French guy is and go to where the locker room is and there should be a wooden door and go to the door and then after you go outside, there should be a building and then go to the left side of the building, which will lead you to the back of the building, and then there is a gate door and you turn the huge door knob and you're in the garden. plackey, you have to look up at the elevator celling and that is the way out of the elevator and there should be climbing poles on the side of the wall and climb up them and then there is a vent that is open. Go through that vent and that will lead you to the library. Once you get in side, you will hear Dextor coming and then you get back in the vent and wait until he is gone and then look around, but you should get your paintbrush out and then go over to where the hole in the wall is and then put the paintbrush over the dust on the desk and then go over to the keypad and take the paintbrush and put the paintbrush on the key pads until you get four fingerprints. Then, you will be able to get the code for the library by seeing which fingerprint is the darkest to the lightest fingerprint. Hope this helps and sorry this message was so long.
