(6) User preferences
User preferences let you change your name and/or password, determine
whether you want to add user pictures or not, and allow you to enter your
own picture (instead of getting the default picture provided by the
conference manager), and so on. Click on the "Preferences" button in any toolbar
to update this information.
The preferences page also shows your subscription list, and lets you mark this list as current.
When you first come into a conference and subscribe to something, it
may have a very large number of items. So, you can "mark your subscriptions
current" so that you don't have to wade through everything.
To bring your subscription list current, you would just click on the Preferences
button, then check the box in the subscription list section, and then "Update Preferences".
