I'm working on a project Musical Mystery theater. We start out as a concert and the show turns into a who done it. It's for birthday parties for 7 to 12 year olds. We don't want to use murder, our themes are centered around the ocean,or wizzard/magic or a western cowboy theme. I'm having trouble coming up with plots and conflicts that are light yet interesting and fun. Just old fashion writers block. Could someone please help me! Many thanks Aquanomy
You could check out the plots etc that Enid Blyton used for her famous five series. They were all mysteries but no murders. Scooby doo has a reasonable plot too ( must be they use it for every episode!!)
Hmmm, see what you mean....
I'm a long time fan of "The Adventures of Shirley Holmes". I believe in all 52 TV episodes, there was only one skeleton and one death (someone fell of a building and mysteriously vanished - leaving discussion as to whether he was alien). Anyway you could check out the episode compendium for S1 to S3 at http://welcome.to/shirley_holmes
Hope I've been of any help.
Mail me if you want to know more.
Anyone know any sites where there are interactive murder or mystery games. Like the ones on MysteryNet, except i've read them all and i WANT MORE MYSTERIES!
How does one go about writing a mystery for kids. Where do I begin? What sort of mystery would appeal to 10 to 12 year old. Any suggestions?
