Do you move the mouse to get the pendant swinging? Also, Why is there no jewel in the lion? I have clicked on EYES, LEGS, NOSE, EARS, everything falls off but, now what?

Jeffrey Hitchin - 12:14am Nov 24, 1999 PST(#136 of 4060)

Yes, move the mouse back and forth quickly, it should start swinging. It needs to swing in a wide arc for 3 seconds, then you can stop swinging it.

Once you've removed the things from the lion in the correct order, a pair of laser-like lights will come from its eyes. Just follow the lines to see where they land. You can find the gem there.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I've spent many annoying hours on this game. I've given all the jewels to the appropriate characters, asked every possible question of everyone, but don't know what to do now. I can't get the ouiji board out yet, and I keep getting these hints to COOK SOME MEAT, and MAKE DINNER, but I can't get to the meat hanging in the fridge in the kitchen. I don't know what to do. Please someone HELP!!!

Lori Yates - 06:53am Nov 24, 1999 PST(#138 of 4060)

lynn you don't have to cook anything for dinner! You might need to go back and talk to Popov some more and that may help you with getting the board! Are you sure you have all the jewels? You should be able to get the board now. Keep trying and Good Luck!

I'm having trouble at the very beginning of the game with the combination lock on the Rhine Maiden. The screen is too dark to see the numbers even though the brightness dial on my monitor is all the way up. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

C Panzeter - 02:53pm Nov 24, 1999 PST(#140 of 4060)

Can someone help me with the cable car. I have put the gas in and moved all the switches but can not figure out what to do next. Any ideas?

K Blake - 04:58pm Nov 24, 1999 PST(#141 of 4060)

Why does there have to be so much read into the mystery. I know that that is what makes it so mysterious, but still, come on. Everything written in the story doesn't have to be twisted twenty different ways. Obviously there's something fishy about Fox's dissappearance. I personally think that Fritz and Fox are in on it together. Wouldn't it be easiest for Fritz to get ahold of Bertha's ring. I know he's supposed to be blind, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know his way around. The two characters on the bridge? They could be anyone. Why not Fritz and Fox? The bundle? The clothes they were tossing into the revine. The person on the boat? Fox, rummaging through this and that. With everyone thinking he had disappeared he can go where he wishes, especially with an insider's help (Fritz). Think about it. Questions, Comments, Am I totally off base?

Steph C - 07:58pm Nov 24, 1999 PST(#142 of 4060)

At the cable car, where do I put the gas?

L M MOORE - 08:23pm Nov 24, 1999 PST(#143 of 4060)

So isn't it "half, past, eight" for Col. Mustards rebus? could use another clue. Also, are there 5 jewels to get or are there 6. There are 6 clue Characters, so I would think that there would be 6 jewels. Scarlet, White, Peacock, Green, Plum, and Col. Mustard, Right?

Dorothy Spencer - 10:09pm Nov 24, 1999 PST(#144 of 4060)

I am so confused I can't even get to the Captains wheel room. What have I done or should I say not done? I picked up everything possible. HELP

Steph C - 10:49pm Nov 24, 1999 PST(#145 of 4060)

Dorothy, take the three pins you collected, and use them on the puzzle box.

Sci Girl - 12:13am Nov 25, 1999 PST(#146 of 4060)

Dorothy, I had a really hard time getting to the Captain's room, too. I read ALL of the spoilers REPEATEDLY and still had problems. It just would not let me use the artifacts and the box at the same time. So I shut the computer down, restarted, and tried again. Success! Bug? Good luck!
