If all I wanted was attention, I'd be naked.

Oh, no, now if I have a pool handy, I can deal with 110 heat.. otherwise, I prefer the cold, especially if I have the white stuff to play with.

I grew up in a house without AC. Never really bothered me although as kids I remember complaining that we were the only ones without it. Now that I have it, I freeze in the summer.

I think animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Oh yeah, so need these posts! Heard some tough stuff in regards to my work -well, the work of all who do this in BC. Need to laugh. :)

Kirsten, does your husband like outdoor stuff in the winter, like skiing and ski-dooing? If it's just to be in the cool, rather than heat, yeah, might change his mind if he was out in this stuff all the time. **wink**

Oh and I'm 8 hours from the ocean - it's a gorgeous trip to drive there and even more so, if you do it by train. Yup, the ship for the Alaskan cruises stops in Prince Rupert -anytime. I'm here to be tour guide. Although in the winter, ummm, well,,,not too bad going to Terrace but that drive between Terrace and Prince Rupert, may be only a couple hours's usually closed down due to ice and snow conditions. It's beautiful in the summer, as you drive with the mountains towering on the immediate right and the raging river to the immediate left. :)

Ok, coffee...I NEED COFFEE!!

been doing that "W" word stuff, just got back to the computer, need COFFEE!! making HUGE mug from the extra-strong coffee tap **wink**

Oh and Kirsten, I don't do well with heat - or at least that's what I thought. Then I hit Vegas the first week in August, 145F when I got off the plane. I thought I'd DIE! Plus, in the evening, the humidity hit hard, as I was there during their short "rainy" time. (thunderstorms every night with scattering rain)

I honestly didn't think I could handle it. Yet by the 3rd day I was out and about with the rest, walking and hanging outside. Even went to the pool in late afternoon when it dropped to 125F, with LARGE mugs of icy cold bacardi and coke, it was perfect!

Don't know if I could deal with it on an ongoing basis and to be truthful we were both mopping wet messes in the evening from the humidity - we'd go inside a casino just to get dry from the A/C.

Well, instead of driving, sassi, give them the rustic experience of sled dogs.. and snow camping. :)

sassi, I don't think Vegas gets up to 145.. usually it's in the 110's.. are you sure your conversions are right?

Hubby I guess wants the cold/snow for 4 wheeling. He keeps talking about moving up to michigan and buying some snowmobiles. I refuse to move that far north. He also likes it cooler.

Move towards Denver or Colorado Springs, those cities aren't extremely cold, but are only 45 minutes away from good snow.

I would much rather move somewhere that was warm year round.
