You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!
I love Patterson. Thanks for the tip, I didn't know he had a new one out. Is Karen Rose by Gerritsen?
I am reading a brand new author right now -Donald Thompson Charlie's Cruise. I'm really enjoying it so far and will be doing a book review on it shortly to say more about it.
Another good book to read is called
"Destiny."
Here's the beginning summary of it
"Gabriella is a witch. The problem is, she
doesn't remember. She repressed the
memories of her powers years ago when her
mother was murdered. Now, the warlock who
was responsible for her mother's death has
set his sights on Gabriella...."
There's actually a contest that's giving it
out right now too! Free signups!

Looking for a thrill ride ... check out The God Complex
by Chris Titus. This reminded me of the Da Vinci Code,
except the adventure takes you on a thrill ride through
Chinese medicine instead of Christianity. The author
combined fact and fiction in a unique format "that has
audiences talking" ... literally. From the reviews
I've read, the book is controversial b/c one of the
characters uses Eastern medicine to cause harm in order
to prove a point. This 'apparently' goes against the
first tenet of health care ... "do no harm." And, some
acupuncturists freaked out about it - haha! Personally,
I thought that was the best part of the story b/c he
reveals a hidden connection between acupuncture and
martial arts. One of the aspects I enjoyed most of
this book was that it was inspired by actual events.
Another thing I liked about this book is that I learned
a lot about topics that are popular today, and I
learned them by solving a mystery ... education through
exciting entertainment. Two thumbs up for this one ...

A birth certificate shows you were born. A death certificate shows you have died. A photo album shows you have lived.
I can recommend Tess Gerritsen - Karin Slaughter (I love the dynamics of Trent and Sara) Kathy Reiches, and also Val MacDermid - but confess I prefer the Kate Brannigan series in her books. If you like fast paced thrillers you could try Matthew Riley. I can't put his books down.
Also just recently read the first of the Charlaine Harris's Series Sookie Stackhouse - loads behind everyone else I'm sure.
Would like to find another author myself - I tend to stick to the same ones. Just wondering to myself is there someone out there thats part Karin Slaughter part Kathy Reiches and cloned of Tess Gerritsen? :o)
If you miss Travis McGee, you might try Ken
McKea's "Atlanta Bones" at the Amazon.com
Kindle store.
Just read 'Murder So Vengeful' by Eugene Lang. A Kindle edition book @ Amazon.Com.
I like a 'who dunnit' that I can't solve.
A couple of times I thought I had it figured out only to find I was wrong. When Mr.Lang finally revealed the killer I was completely
surprised. No; make that shocked.
Try it. I know you'll like it.
I have read many books but the mystery by Eugene Lang left me so excited i recommend this book to all who really like a good mystery . If you think you know who the killer is before the end ,think again

I've been a total "girl" recently and read the "Spying in High Heels Mysteries" by Gemma Halliday. Gave me a giggle and a mystery thrown in. Worth the read if you want something that's a light hearted mystery. IMHO.
Now started on the Calamity Jayne series. Done the first book which held my attention enough to go onto the next.
Again a light hearted mystery. I don't feel in the mood to concentrate on anything too heavy at the moment.
I've just passed all of my Peter Robinson books onto my Mum, she's been engrossed in them. Also another writer that I recommend. :o)
