I love the Miss Zukas books - would like to see the romance with the Chief move along. Miss Zukas' clock is ticking!

Just finished all the Miss Zukas mysteries. My question is, when is the next one coming out?

Alice Moore - 05:47pm May 17, 2001 PST(#20 of 34)

I'm puzzled-I love the Miss Zukas mysteries and have been reading them in order, however one of the books contained an advertisement for a Miss Zukas mystery soon to be available entitled Death Overdue. It seems as if it should have been published prior to the most recent(...Shelves the Evidence) I don't want to miss out on a volume, does anyone know if the book was published or was the original title changed?? The bookstores are no help.

I love the Miss Zukas mysteries. My coworkers and I have read all the books in the series and eagerly await each new book. When is the next one coming out?

Kathleen Riley - 10:02am Sep 9, 2002 PST(#23 of 34)

I am anxious for another Helma & Ruth book. And I think maybe Helma should stick with Boy Cat. I'm not too sure about Wayne! I'm a librarian too and my daughter is in grad school at Western Washington. Should I move out and be Helma's neighbor?! Katy riley

I love Helma and Ruth! When can we read of their further adventures and the ongoing romance in a new book?

Alice Howard - 07:46pm Feb 15, 2003 PST(#25 of 34)

I am writing this message Feb. 15, 2003. Thus far I cannot find any new Jo Dereske "Helma Zukas" mysteries that have been published. Have I missed something or has Ms. Dereske stopped writing her wonderful books? Alice

Catherine Bancroft - 08:45pm Feb 19, 2003 PST(#26 of 34)

I just finished "...Raven's Dance" and thought the weather in the Northwest and its effect on the community was an important part of the 'atmosphere' of the story, especially the frantic patrons of the library and the box of tissues that were kept at the desk. Even Boy Cat got drencched. Jo Dereske has really set her stories and Ms Zukas in a great locale. I like Ms Zukas real independence and the her moral values. I just wish there were more stories coming. Everybody, remember it is Wilhelmina, even to her friends.

Ginny Escalada - 11:26am Mar 29, 2003 PST(#27 of 34)

Are there any new books after Miss Zukas Shelves the Evidence and Short Cut???

Judith Hietter - 05:06pm Feb 12, 2004 PST(#28 of 34)

When is Ms. Dereske going to write aother Miss Zukas or "cuts" book? I miss her books.

Fran Hinkel - 06:45am Oct 18, 2004 PST(#29 of 34)
You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!

There does not seem to be anything on the horizon from Dereske.

Valerie Zalewski - 07:30am Nov 12, 2004 PST(#30 of 34)

I'm frantically trying to find info about Jo Dereske. Is she still writing? Her e-mail adress no longer exists. Anyone with info ?
