Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. - Charles Schultz

Sunny I think everyone has good points, for me the reason I wouldn't pay is because of all those that won't be here because they can't afford to pay.

If all I wanted was attention, I'd be naked.

I think that is a valid point, Chre..

That probably will be the reason that I would not pay as well... Because it is a good site, and has a lot of areas that are fun... but face it, it requires interaction...

Worlds worst excuse: "But we've always done it that way."

I can see charging and paying (from a business point of view) for certain areas, teasers, puzzles, post & solve, MP's, etc.

But the social lounge, which is mainly discussion boards (that sometimes I'm just too busy to give a lot of attention to) is great as a meeting place for friends, and even though I can easily afford to pay, would not be able to justify it (especially since there are free alternatives).

Also, since MN is going to become a pay site, that excludes everyone under 18.

Just more of my humble opinions.

MaxOut.. I believe (but not sure) that the areas designated for those under 18 will be dealt with differently.

As for the social lounge being excluded.. I disagree... is is the social areas that tend to keep Fran busiest because of the high volume of traffic, and posts.. not to mention the space required for MN to keep all the posts and such.

You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!

Thank you, (((((Sunny))))), that is exactly correct. The fee is so small that I wonder if people can really not afford it. I just ask that you wait to see what the fee will be before making a decision.

Internet sites all over are losing money. Things which used to be free will soon also have to either charge or have a multi-million dollar parent company to back them.

I would be willing to pay for someone's subscription if they truly want to stay but cannot afford to.

Fran will we find out how much it will cost before it happens or will we just come here one day & find out we have to?

Hi Chre, I believe the office is preparing something to be sent out very soon.

LOL I think anything at this point might help.

"Another thing, then, is the American "nature," according to Licka: "This is a disaster [for the Czechs]. They are very ambitious, very self-confident and what's more, they've actually learned how to play football."
