I Confess

I Confess was a discussion we had in the early days of MysteyNet. I thought it would be fun to bring it back and see how it goes.

You can confess your truest feelings here or just everyday things.

We are here to listen, so confess away.

You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!

Breaking News: Acorn, now that it is being investigated in 11 states, today announced that 30% of the people that ACORN "tried to help register to vote" are fraudulent. That amounts to 400,000 potential voters! If that is not enough to throw an election, I don't know what is.

I Confess someone sent me this link:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081023/ap_on_el_pr/early_voting

So, I guess it doesn't matter what qualifications a man has, what matters is the color of his skin. I am disgusted.

I confess I don't really read the posts about the voting in America.

That's understandable, TCO. Here, of course, it is our hottest topic and the one we all have the most stake in.

Since the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body (and vice versa), we now know that only left-handed people are truly in their right minds.

Post in moddy, probably due to numbers in URL.

Fran, I haven't yet found any reports confirming or refuting the ACORN announcement you posted. I have, however, found this link to an article stating that (a) "voter fraud is rare, according to a 2007 report by the nonpartisan Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law" and that (b) "ACORN officials have repeatedly claimed that their own quality control workers were the first to discover problematic ballots." www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/10/18/politics/main4530798.shtml?source=search_story

Thank you, Martha. Going to check it out!

I confess that breaking people's hearts is not a fun job.

Every day, do one thing that scares you.

Is there a more appropriate place on MN for lengthy political discussion?

I confess that while I think such discussions are important, this folder does not seem to be the forum.

(((Chris))) I confess that I should have suggested moving this discussion to either Debate or MN Times some time back.
