I Confess

I Confess was a discussion we had in the early days of MysteyNet. I thought it would be fun to bring it back and see how it goes.

You can confess your truest feelings here or just everyday things.

We are here to listen, so confess away.

(8@D)======> The WINDS of change are inevitable...but is the Power of Love......TORNADO WARNING: Some people are sheltered,,,,,, and then,,,,,, I unshelter them

I confess.....sumtin I didn't see in INTROS Mulder~ U R interesting.........I did visit Mombasa one New Year's while in the navy. Was a highly political moment as well as we had hostages being held in Iran at the time.

I confess.....I do not side with one party or the other for a myriad of reasons and go with gut instincts. And this is one of the troubling things I see with both sides.
I saw a sign yesterday big and bold on an Obama lawn: U S We Are One! My question....where was that sign while Bush was in office?
Later the pastor mentioned the we are now one coming from a different source in democratic circles.
And now, reiterate this while being oxymoronic. How can you want unity with a statement like: I'm disappointed in those people who can't get past the fact that this country obviously decided we no longer want a republican in the office of president. ????? Is it just because it is a Republican or is it the man himself? And was it a Republican Senate and House? It clearly says there has been a decisive division for some time.

I like the fact the White House, the Senate and the House are all one because now there will be no way to lay all the blame on Bush or Republicans.
If the Dems pull us out of the crisis we are in sobeit and all due respect.
But if they can't and things get worse will it be: WE ARE ONE?
Or blame it on the Republicans??????

"Come lay with me, stay with me, soon I'll be gone. I will remember you all winter long. And when I return to the one that I miss...oh the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss" Josh Turner

i confess that i am very proud of president bush for sticking to his guns and being the one of the only politicians on the face of the planet [or on the face of washington, dc rather] who actually did what he said he was going to do. [this is coming from someone who has, according to an MNer, "bush to blame" for sending my husband to iraq twice. no, i don't blame bush, just the terrorists who are trying to kill us. yes, us includes you too.]

i also confess that i actually cheered for you WT!

i also must confess that i really hope obama proves me wrong. [because if i wanted to live in a socialist country, i would have moved to china!]

I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing. Agatha Christie

Hi WT I confess I cant contribute to any discussion about the elections because im highly uninformed about it:( all I know is that Obamas father was Kenyan and hes a Democrat.

Yes im Kenyan, although I live in Canada now. Its interesting to know that you were in the Navy. We always used to see Navy ships and sailors all over our small town. Mombasa is the main port on the Coast of East Africa so a lot of ships dock there. Are you still in the Navy?

Your value has nothing to do with your valuables.

I confess I cheer WT too!!!

For 8 years we've had to listen to people blast Bush for every move he has made even though the country "clearly decided" they wanted him for president...twice...and now a mere 2 days after BO gets in we are told to "get over it"??? I think not.

I confess it's our turn now...let free speech reign!!! WooHoo :-)

"Nothing matters in the whole wide world when you're in love with a Jersey Girl." - T. Waits

I've been hearing for 8 years to "get over" the Florida chad problem, which oddly was only a problem in the state where Bush's brother was governor. I hear about it even though I never mention it. The country "clearly decided" they wanted Bush for the past 8 years, now they "clearly decided" they want Obama. How about we wait until BO gets into office and does something before we start freaking out? Maybe he'll mess up, maybe he won't. Maybe he'll actually be okay.

Your value has nothing to do with your valuables.

I confess I see no one "freaking out".

I also confess I think everyone is entitled to their opinion and the right to freely express it without delay. There are legitimate concerns about an Obama presidency just as there were legitimate concerns about a McCain presidency, just as there were liegitimate complaints about the Bush presidency and the freedom to express those concerns and complaints is (at least for now) still protected under the First Amendment.

I confess WooHoo for the First Amendment!
