The HB used to be one of my favourite books when I used to read them abt 5-6 years ago. Whats the latest with them. I have lost touch. I've heard that we may be having the last of them (No.127). Is it true? But how does it end? Do they die or just turn to another profession. Can someone update me on this? I sure am gonna miss them. Though I would like to read some of the earlier mysteries. It used to be such fun.

Josh,
You can still buy all of the sets, but you'll have to look a bit. Try your local bookstores, but if you really want to find them (and this works with most old books) at a really good price go to a "used" bookstore. One where they sell books that peopls have sold to them.
Has any one read ''The secret of thd mill'' I have read so far three books and i want to read them all. Liken i was saying if anyone has read that book 'cause I'm almost done nd i wonder who isn living on the old farm.

Roman Reyes,
You don't want us to spoil it do you? I always liked to try to figure it out before Frank and Joe did. If you've only read three so far, you've got a lot of good reading to do.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
Hey, Vivek!
Looks like I'm in the same boat as everyone else-- The Hardy Boys were some of the first books I ever read, but I haven't read them recently. I read the Casefiles when they first came out, but after awhile they started getting too extreme. And the SuperMysteries with Nancy Drew--not even right, all the stuff between Nancy and Frank; and Joe's off the deep-end, falling for women...
Enough of that! Instead of asking what we've missed and complaining about the new series, let's hit some of Swaantje Jacks' questions: What's your favorite aspect of the Hardy Boys mysteries? Favorite case, character, or bad guy?
Fave characters--Tony and Biff...Right now I don't even remember why (having not read the books in years), but I do remember I always liked it better if those two were in there.
Looks like I've got some reading to do...

Hi Guys,
I grew up reading the Hardy boys series and matured to more serious mystery greats in this genre. I think the Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew are the most enduring of all teenage characters. Most of us in India are fond of these series since we do not get to read stuffs in our mother tongues, we therefore, have look up western sources to fulfill our urge for a good read.
Looks like I may be the "old man" of this discussion. Ialso grew up on the Hardy Boys. I started reading them in the early to mid seventies. However, I haven't read any in years. I wasn't aware they were even being printed anymore, and boy, Iolo dead? that really floors me. I don't think I can ever remember anyone dying in the early series. Anyway, I guess my favorite would have to be the Secret of the Old Mill. I say that because it's the only one I can remember after so long. I can see I've got a lot of reading to do to catch up.
Hey everybody! The first Hardy Boy book I ever read was the "Jungle Pyramid", and I've read a ton since then. Out of the two main characters I always liked Frank, but I always looked for stories with Biff and Tony in them. I don't really have a favorite, but I remember thinking "Hunting for Hidden Gold" was really exciting.
I noticed how Joe changed after Iola died, too. I understand him being upset, but they made him act a little too dumb, especially in the Super Mysteries with Nancy Drew. I mean, did they have to make him fall for every girl he met?
Anyway, the books are still fun to read. I never know which one to read next, so if there's one that's really, really good, tell me, ok? Thanks.

"A friend(human)is one who can betray your trust. But, a dog is a loyal and true friend, forever. So, a dog is truely man's best friend." --Tracy
My favorite Hardy Boy is Joe. To be truthful, I think he's handsome. More handsomer than Frank. I also like his impulsivity. Who agrees with me.
