Hardy Boys
As one of the first mysteries many mystery buffs read, Hardy Boys mysteries also become some of the first to be recommended to their mystery-reading children.

Actually, I like both Joe and Frank about the same. Joe, I think has most of the humor.
One thing I don't like about the Hardy Boys is that lots of people think they are ONLY for boys. Girls (such as myself) read them, too!!!

Hi there. Just found this part of the site. The HArdy BOys definately fall under the title of Mystery Greats.
I personally love the CaseFiles!!!!! Iola was mentioned a lot all the way up into the 100's. He never really got over her, and she's even mentioned in a couple of SuperMysteries.
I've never read the case files.

Found a great fan fiction site. Easiest way to get to it is to search Hardy Boys on Yahoo, then click on Moonstar Presents. It's mostly Casfiles style stuff, but there is one story written in the style of the originals from way back when!
Hello Hardy Fans!
I'd like to invite you all to have a look at the Bayport Gazette - an online HB newsletter for fans of all ages! News, reviews, interviews, humor, and much, much more...

Well hello Nancy! Go post this link in the Other Mystery Characters in the Nancy Drew social lounge too. It may get some hits there. I'm sending people over to Moonstar too!
I read the Hardy Boys books (1-58) during the 60s and early 70s. I am not familiar with the newer books (59-171?). What are your opinions on the newer books? Worth reading? Equal to the earlier ones (60s version)? I'm interested in your comments.
Just re-read the posted notes here. I guess I'm the grandfather to most of you. Some of you are looking for more HB web sites. Here are a few, with an explanation of who Franklin W. Dixon was. Surprise!

I haven't read the case files or the super mysteries, or whatever they're called. Do any of you think they're worth reading?
Thd casefiles are definitely worth reading. Although, I would start at the very beginning, because they lose their original focus and purpose as you get closer to the end.

Hi, Skywarp!
Tom, I'm a Casefiles fan. I would also reccomend http://www.hardydetectiveagency.com
It's a fan fic site with links, character bios, and lots of other stuff.
I haven't read a paperback or digest in ages and ages.
Can you tell me how many hardy boy books there are?
