Have an idea for a discussion topic? Afraid to add it 'cause you don't know how it will go over? This is a place for you to throw your ideas out there to the Community to see if others share your interest in your topic before adding a Discussion.

I'm not sure if this will generate any interest, but we can always give it the old heave-ho if it doesn't.

It's time to try defying gravity

Fran - I'm with you. I don't understand why the concept didn't work. Maybe you could put a better header on it and more concise instructions and we could give it another try? I liked the idea but......:o)

They say I'm crazy but I have a good time; I'm just looking for clues at the scene of the crime; Life's been good to me so far. (Eagles)

Jean! Hi! ((((Jean))))

There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Jean's idea might help, although I'm not certain. It seemed reasonably clear that the point was to tell a story, but a few individuals insisted on just using lyric phrases that contained words in common with the previous post, instead.

I really like the concept, as it was originally intended, and I'd hate to see it go.

You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!

Okay, I'll try setting it up new, with clearer instructions and see what happens. Thanks for the input, guys.

I understand perfectly the point of the Lyrics folder. But I can never think of another line that would work! I just sit there going "hmmmmm?" and then check other folders! IMHO it's too hard but maybe that's just me.

I have the same problem, Mimi!!!

what a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away...what seems to be is always better than nothing...

just throwing in my humble opinion....maybe it doesn't make sense but it's still fun. if people are still contributing and seem to be enjoying it, why kill it off? granted i'm biased, but those of us there are having fun or we wouldn't be posting things. sorry if this sounds rude--it isn't intended to be:)

okay, i just went and checked the lyrics folder, and found that it has deteriorated--sigh. guess i have to retract my previous comment. not sure how it can be salvaged--maybe just forget about trying to create a story? it is fun trying to come up with a line that fits, but... sorry i said anything:[

e.e., don't be sorry. That is what this discussion is for!

Never hire a ferret to do a weasel's job

Turn it into lyrical tag where the first word of a post is the last word of the previous post ?

Posting like that would be fun! LOL
