Quincy M.E.
Susan ChristoffersenHaven't seen Quincy in years but this type of mystery was always a favorite; felt as though I learned a lot just from reading them. I would guess that fans of this show would also enjoy the Patricia Cornwell books, as I do. Anybody out there?
MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION: WHAT WAS QUINCY'S FIRST NAME?
ANSWER: The only clue the audience was ever provided about Quincy's first name occurred (in the episode "Accomplice to Murder") when he handed a battered housewife his business card — sharp-eyed viewers noted the card identified him as "R. Quincy".

I bought the DVD not long ago and have
been wallowing in memories...so much
so that I've dug out tapes that I made
back when it was on origionally. "Dr.
Asten" was always my favorite
character..and I enjoyed watching his
progression from pompous bureaucrat
to competent professional and
concerned human being. The verbal
pyrotechnics between "Asten" and
"Quincy" were more fun when you knew
they actually liked and respected each
other. I'd almost forgotten that "Asten"
had a few good episodes where he
was allowed to "play detective"...and
John S. Ragin made the most of them
DR QUINCY OR QUINC NEVER HAD A FIRST NAME
EVERY BODY JUST CALLED HIM QUINCY OR QUINC QUINCY GOT ME HOOKED WITH THE CORONERS OFFICE AND BODY TRANSPORT I ALSO WOULD TUNED EVERY THING AND EVERY BODY OUT BUT I OWE EVERY TO DR QUINCY
THANKS QUINC

You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!
Seems like the most frequently asked question here is about Quincy's first name. I will add a sentence to the Introduction above and hope that people will read it!
Actually there were some TV tie-in
books that came out during the first few
years the show was on. There was
maybe two or three of them. I had
them..but can't find them...I may have
sold them with other similar type books
years ago...drat.

Well, that contradicts what the writers themselves have said! There's no conclusive proof he ever had a name either!
Yes there is a sequel to a good smack in the mouth Mrs. Hernia. You can download it on limewire.
