Perry Mason

Susan Christoffersen - 11:34am Jul 14, 1997 PST

My all-time favorite! When my children were babies and I was home for a few months, I used to feed them in front of the TV because one of the local stations was rerunning the old Perry Mason series every day at noon. Nothing like the atmosphere the series created, IMHO. I would still watch them if I could find them on TV.

The Watcher note: Perry Mason fans can read more about Perry Mason and his creator, Erle Stanley Gardner in Mystery Net Timeline.

I really like at the end of the tv shows were hes going after the killer and they deny it and he says "isnt it true..." and the killer confesses and the prosecutor drops the charges

does anyone know the name of the episode listing which read,"Mason takes a divorce case and nearly loses his life"? I caught the last part of that episode with Mason in a hospital bed, the gang is around him, and Paul Drake telling him the doctor says he can go home in a couple of days". This has been driving me crazy.

also I think the Perry Mason website could do with a complete episode guide like law and order, and walker, texas ranger, have, but that's just my humble opinion.

I know that no one has been here in a while, bt is this talking about the same Perry Mason that Ozzy Osbourne sings about?

I have all the Perry Mason novels, paperback, some first edition. Right now I really want to sell them since I feel that if I may die, at age 61, the books will be throw out with garbage.

Hi. Has anyone ever figured out what was in the folder that the judge hands to Perry Mason in the opening credits? Perry goes on to give the folder to Della, Paul, Hamilton and Tragg. They all take their time reading it although it only has two words on the cover. We joke that it may be the menu for the meal that Raymond Burr is preparing for the cast that evening. Thanks.

Hello Susan & Maureen: I'm new to the Mystery Net community. While I certainly enjoy reruns of the classic series, I believe I get as much pleasure from the Gardner novels. Btw, does anyone remember the 1973-74 revival with Monte Markham, Sharon Acker, Harry Guardino, and Dane Clark? I thought that was quite good. Looking forward to future discussions. Best always, Chris.
