Cop Shows
Cagney & Lacey
Cagney & Lacey broke new ground, showing what life was like for two women in the police force. The show dealt with serious issues as well as having its lighter moments, and was a great critical success.

I had to re-evaluate my life after C&L was cancelled....a wonderful show that is as relevent today, as when it was first aired.
I'm teaching a college class in TV
criticism and have a rather lenghty
reading (34 pages) devoted to C&G, but
I don't want the students to read it if they
can't watch at least one episode of the
series. Apparently the show is not on
video. I'm hoping there are some fans
out there who might have recorded the
show off the air who would be willing to
share a couple episodes with me. My
school can pay for your time and
trouble. (We call it an honorarium in
academe. That means it ain't much. )
Any takers? I'm putting together my
syllabus over the next couple of days
and don't know whether or not to
include it.
I'm doing a project on Cagney and Lacey and
the friendship the two share, in particular the
role each plays within it. I'm comparing them to
Charlie's Angels and the differences between
their friendships. Any comments on this would
be much appreciated and if you could tell me
your gender and roughly your age(I won't tell
anyone!) that would be great
am a 15 year old teenager (female) and my family are amazed that i love to watch cagney and lacey! I love the show, their strong friendship and stressful cases against their personal problems make it a show to remember. My fave was sharon gless, she had a hint of funniness, seriousness and care for others which i consider to be an amazing character. In my personal opinion the show never had a dull moment (i have only seen about 40 episodes so far and hoping to see more though) This has to be one of my fave programmes along with charlies angels. Things like them are sure not made today!!!
I really love Cagney & Lacey show. Fortunately they are playing reruns in Fl. I hope they will release the show 0n DVD someday soon. Sharon Gless & Tyne Daly are two of the finest actresses I've ever seen. They worked great togrther, and I liked the fact that they were friends and partners. My favorite episode is when baby Alice Christine Lacey is born. Please stay on the air. Thank You!!

You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!
A DVD is not yet available, but, if you go to Amazon and request to be notified when it will be released, they are collecting numbers to present to the powers that be to convince them that there is a market for this DVD.
