MY IDEA OF WHO SHOULD PLAY MATT SCUDDER ON SCREEN WOULD BE ROBERT FORSTER, AKA MAX CHERRY (JACKIE BROWN). WHAT DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK? BY THE WAY, ARE THE CHIP HARRISON NOVELS AVAILABLE IN THE U.S.? AS I CANT GET THEM IN U.K.

To anyone who can help!!!!! I recently just read Hit Man and Hit List, both very good books, and then I decided I wanted to try and read all the books in the Matthew Scudder series. I made a mistake though, and I read Everbody Dies, and The Devil Knows You're Dead before I realized the Scudder novels go in order. I own every book in the Scudder series, but I do not know the order I should read them in. Could somebody please help me and give me a list of the Scudder books in the order they are to be read. Thanks, Trafton Rich

I'm recently becoming familiar with this series through my work. I'm currently reading Everybody Dies. I need to know if in this book or any of the Scudder series or actually in any of Block's books (or any fictional crime that you may know of), if a description is given regarding the use of silencers. Particulary, does Block (or any other author) ever describe a plastic bottle such as a listerine bottle as being used for a silencer? Thank you
