Biba Elliott - 11:25pm Jan 18, 1998 PSTDo the Avengers....Emma Peel, Honor Blackman, and John Steed qualify as mystery? If so...let's talk about it!

O.K., another Avengers' question: what is the name of the episode that centers around Mrs. Peel departing the show and Tara King arriving?

Answer to Stacey W. question: "Does anyone know the name of 'The Avengers' episode that centers around Mrs. Peel departing the show and Tara King arriving?"
The episode is titled "The Forget-Me-Knot"; it is the bonus episode in Volume 12 of the 1967 series available from A&E.
Hello Everyone What's up I didn't get to read the whole story! But what I think is, the Police just had a bad light bulb and the battery's died or somthing like that.
Diana Rigg was the high water mark for the Avengers. She was much better, and sexier, than those women characters that followed. Honor was ok but she didn't display ANY vulnerbility (sp?).I mean her character won every single fight she was in. Wonder Woman even lost sometimes. On the other hand Emma took her lumps even tho she ultimatelly triumpted. Forgive my spelling today. I'm drawing blanks this morning.
What year did Diana Rigg join the Avengers as Emma Peel?
I love the Avengers and the official website is the ultimate for info. Excellent. It is probably the best fan website around. The Avengers is definitely a mystery - fav episode is the one where they are in the car accident and Steed wakes to find Emma missing and everything eerily different. Brian Clemens rules !!!
Yes, another note from a true Avengers fan. Actually this has little to do with the Avengers but I was wondering if anyone out there remembers a pilot show made in Britian in black and white in the mid sixties about a man who investigates ghosts and paranormal activity. I think Brian Clemens did it. Very cool and atmospheric but can't remember the name !
Why have you not mentioned the shows after Tara King? Joanna Lumley starred as "Purdey" and there was a guy called "Gambit". With McNee that ran for quite a few episodes.
I used to love the New Avengers, and I think Joanna Lumley is terrific, but Gareth Hunt stinks and the episodes are now rather painful to watch - they didn't stand up well over time. Not compared to the Emma Peel episodes. Sorry, just my opinion.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW I CAN PURCHASE DVD's ON THE SERIES STARRING EMMA PEEL & JOJN STEED. ALSO ON ANOTHER PROGRAM FROM BRITAIN; ".THE PRISONER"
HOW OLD ARE THE AVENGERS. ARE THEY STILL MAKING ANY OTHER KINDS OF MOVIES. DO YOU THINK WE WILL EVER HAVE ANOTHER COUPLE LIKE THOSE TWO. I WAS JUST A SMALL CHILD BUT I LOOKED FORWARD TO WATCH THE AVENGERS. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE AVENGERS COME BACK. DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THAT NO MORE.THANK YOU MG
