Best known for his Leo Waterman series, G.M. Ford is at his best when writing mysteries filled with wry humor and the classic "antihero."

Leo Waterman is his name. This is a great series. If you like Spenser or Elvis Cole, G. M. Ford is great reading. His characters are well drawn and you get a good sense of location as well. Lots of action and humor - never boring or cliche'

Another great series set in Washington State. The main character is a PI (can't think of his name). He uses street people as operatives as they blend in so well. Fun books.

I've been reading Ford for a year or so. As a transplanted Washingtonian, I really enjoy the setting, accuracy, mood, of Mr. Ford's Puget Sound descriptions. The stories are fun and complex, and I wish Leo Waterman was a friend of mine!

Somebody please read John D. MacDonald's Cinnamon Skin (Travis McGee novel) and then read G.M. Ford's Cast in Stone and draw your own conclusions about similarity.

I would like to know if G. M. Ford has a web site.
