Yes, I like her books. Unfortunately, our library doesn't carry all of them. If you like her, you will also like Jeanne M. Dams, who writes about an older widow who retires to a small English village, finding herself knee deep in murder and intrigue. Very fun, very good mysteries. I think she has 2 out now, but I can't recall the names.
Thanks for listing her new book Dawn! I was glad to hear she has a new one out. I like her books because they are what I would call a "good, clean murder". People are killed and the murder is solved without all the gory details. I think her preoccupation with food is cute too. Thanks again!
I enjoy her books very much, and have just ordered The body in the Bookcase. I home she continues the series.
I'm 14, but i also think her books are good.
(Dawn:her last name is Fairchild and her neighbor is Pix Miller) For anyone who likes this series, check out the "Goldy" series by Diane Mott Davidson. They're also about a caterer who has a knack for solving murders and i think they're much better than this series.
If you enjoy Katharine Hall Page's books, I think you would also like Mary Daheim's two series. One features a pair of middle aged cousins, one of which runs a bed and breakfast in a city that seems very much like Seattle. The other series of mysteries features a forty-something publisher of a small town weekly newspaper. Daheim is a wonderful writer, and you'll get caught up in her characters very quickly.
And if you like Daheim, you'll like Jean Hager's bread & breakfast series.
She has a new book out. I have not read it yet. Hope to soon, as of yet it is not in our book stores.
Has anyone read Body in the Big Apple? I like her books but they are hard to find.
I can hardly wait - is there to be a new book in the year 2000? She has been writing one just about every year.
There is a new one out know call Body in the Moonlight.
I enjoy reading all Katherine Page's books because they make me laugh at certain points and that, in the midst of solving crimes, is the key to good mystery writing.
Recently read Body In The Fjiord and loved it. As a recent visitor to Norway for the first time, it was great reliving our trip through Katherine Hall Page's novel. I would like to be able to thank her personally via e-mail and talk about our common Norwegian heritage. If anyone would care to provide e-mail address for this fascinating author I would appreciate it. Mange Takk
I have enjoyed each Katherine Page book I've been able to get. There are a few I cannot find but will keep searching. I hope she will continue the "Faith" series
and write many more.
Has anyone ever figured out just where Aleford is? I know it's supposed to be fictional, but KHP has surely made Aleford come alive and it certainly reminds this native New Englander of real life in a history enriched town.
