Me, too, talor. Those are definitely, (in my minds eye) the originals.

I know I've asked this question before, but I never really got a direct answer. So I'm going to ask it again: I have the first ND book, "The Secret of the Old Clock." On the cover, Nancy is kneeling on some grass (it's night on the cover) and she's holding the clock in one hand and a screwdriver in the other. Is this the original book? If this helps, the book has 20 chapters.

The mystery picture's in a mess. The cops admit the case looks black. Just when the crook starts to confess --- rattle-rattle-rattle --- POPCORN SACK!

Nope; in the original cover art for The Secret of the Old Clock Nancy has the clock under her arm while running through the woods, her scarf flying behind her.
