am playing clue chronichles and am stuck on the boat i have tried everyting to open the box but can't . i was told there was something in it to open the door at the top of the stairs but i can't get it to work. if someone could help me i would appreciate it . thanks

On the game, scarlet has intuition of three numbers. find out what those are, and that will be the combination to the lock on the door. I am also stuck on the boat. No one has anything to say. I cant pick up the box and dont know if I have the right thing to open it ( did get something at top of stairs, but I cant even tell what it is!). I didn't get instructions...I'm lost!
