Ngaio Marsh and other Authors Recommended by Agatha Fans

I've been reading lots of excellent Agatha Christie stories and I decided to take a short break on her and read some of Ngaio Marsh's books starting with her 1st mystery: "A Man Lays Dead." I can't wait to read it and I've been to the book store and bought more Ngaio Marsh books b/c I have a feeling that I will like them and will want to read the rest. I bought a lot of Marsh's books as X-mas presents for me. So I ought to be reading them around January and I will give you my opinion of the book after I'm done reading.

As Much as I love Agatha Christie...I contend Ngaio Marsh is the true Grand Dame of murdery mysteries. I have been rereading her books lately and have been enjoying them immensely. The characters pop off the page and Ngaio keeps you guessing right up to the end every time. Check out her bibliography below and I suggest reading her books in order and watching Roderick Alleyn and his journalist sidekick, Nigel Bathgate, develop over time. Enjoy!!!! My all time favorite book of hers is Death and the Dancing Footman. I would enjoy hearing what other have to say about my new favorite mystery writer...Ngaio Marsh.
