Freedom

Morning.
She's making breakfast in the kitchen.
He's getting dressed in the bedroom.
She's slicing bread.
He's finished dressing.
She's not finished the breakfast.
Where's my food?
Ready in a moment...

He comes to the kitchen.
She steps back.
My breakfast's not ready.
I'm sorry.

The little cow.
She lifts her arm in guard.
He marries his hand to her face.
She almost cries.
He almost laughs.
She goes back to the bread.
He watches critically.
She wonders if the knife will work on some thing harder and nastier.
She tries it.
He chokes.
She watches.
He falls.
What a mess.
She doesn't think the neighbors saw.
Where to put him?
