And Then There Were None

My father has been trying to find out for years where the 1945 version of the movie was filmed - in particular the mansion? Has anyone ever run across that information. I read at one time that Burgh Island was the setting, but I can't find anything else about it.

Thanks for your help.

A birth certificate shows you were born. A death certificate shows you have died. A photo album shows you have lived.

All I can find is that Burgh Island is closely linked to Agatha Christie, as it served as the inspirational setting for both "And Then There Were None" as well as Hercule Poirot mystery "Evil Under the Sun". The 2002 TV adaptation of Evil Under The Sun used the island as a filming location.

Several scenes from the BBC’s 1987 dramatisation of Christie’s story Nemesis were shot in the Burgh Island Hotel, as it was felt that the location was ideal for the film.

I would have thought that the only option would be to look at the actual film credits to see where it was filmed.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I don't have a copy of the movie, but I'll check with my Dad and see if he's done that already.
