Trivia

Created by Dave Batchelder

In this puzzle, you have to find the answer to the host's Trivia question. This can be about
- an obscure fact
- the meaning of an outdated, unused or non-English word
- something that can be found on the MN boards

A player who immediately recognizes the correct answer may wish to sit back and let other players work out the solution for themselves. Internet searches are not allowed at first, unless indicated differently by the host. If the game stalls or reaches the time limit, the host can allow searches to get the game back on track. The first player to answer the trivia question to the host's satisfaction wins the next turn.

Do take into account that Triva, like all P&S games, is meant for short, fast-moving puzzles. If you have a more complicated, even multi-questions, trivia fact, please consider editing it into a Classic Teaser and e-mailing it to Fran Hinkel

All the usual P&S guidelines apply. These Tips and Resources can help you to create a new puzzle. If you have questions regarding hosting and posting, check out the FAQ. Have fun!

You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!

So, if we are not talking about his brain, then it cannot be the slides obtained from it. Hmmm.... some type of DNA?

Well, I know DNA testing was not available then, but maybe saved something for later examination is what I meant.

Are we stuck here? Not his hand(s) nor his legs, nor his head, nor his hair ,,, let’s add: not his arms, not his feet, not his … ok.

BTW that reminds me that Larry LaPrise died exactly seven years ago (give or take a few years). The most traumatic part for his family was that getting him into the coffin took several days. They put his left leg in and then the trouble started. Oh! Did I mention he recorded “The Hokey Pokey” in 1948?

Are we done here? Shall I put it up for grabs? Maybe it’s me… see? … it happens all the time.

Another belief of mine: that everyone else my age is an adult, whereas I am merely in disguise (Margaret Atwood)

Heart (oodles of famous people have their hearts buried in different places from the rest of them) ?

Rik Shepherd -
Heart (oodles of famous people have their hearts buried in different places from the rest of them) ? lungs ? bowels ? kneecaps ? nose ? eyes ? Eyes it is. Thomas Harvey removed Einstein’s eyeballs and gave them to Einstein’s eye doctor, Henry Adams. According to an ABC News’s article of March 28, 2012, ”Einstein’s Brain Arrives in London After Odd Journey,” to this day, they remain in a preserved jar in a safe deposit box in New York City. Henry Adams was Einstein’s ophthalmologist and one of his best friends.

Your turn, Rik. Baffle us.

Thanks, Lupin.

That was taking friendship - and ophthamology - a little far, surely...

Maybe not right back...

The first episode of a new CBS series CLIMAX, an adaptation of Chandler's The Long Goodbye, was broadcast on 7th October 1954. What did actor Tristam Coffin do that got his name into all the reviews of the show?

Hey, I know this one...

Can I point out that the actors name was appropriate for his role, but not his behaviour. The show was broadcast live, it being 1954...
