Wuzzles

Thanks to Lupin for the introductory text.

According to Disney, Wuzzles are winged creatures that are two animals in one and live in the Land of Wuz. Someone coined "word puzzle" into "wuzzle". These have also been called Dingbats. In this P&S, players try to guess the word, phrase or title expressed in some unexpected way by the host. The first player to complete the solution wins the next turn.

Example:
wear
long

Solution: long underwear

Example: G82LDRDO
Solution: Gate to El Dorado

All the usual P&S guidelines apply. These Tips and Resources can help you to create a new puzzle. If you have questions regarding hosting and posting, check out the FAQ. Have fun!

Lupin I don't know if anyone's asked you this, but have you heard of the cartoon show "Lupin III?" (sang as Lupin the 3rd). It was some kind of detective show as far as I can remember.

You can check out anytime you like...but you can never leave!

Paging Clueless to declare a winner if that be the case.

Lupin can take it, if he wants.

Matt, take your pick:

  • Lupin (n) : any plant of the genus Lupin; bearing erect spikes of usually purplish- blue flowers.
  • Lupine, lupin (ad) [Middle English, from Old French lupin, from Latin lupinum, from neuter of lupinus] wolflike.
  • Lupin, Arsène, character created by Maurice Leblanc in 1905. Arsène Lupin, Gentilhome Cambrioleur, the French gentleman rogue, the suave and debonaire Parisian dandy of exquisite manners and lord of the underground.
  • Arsene Lupin (from Nighthood) Frech anime later tranlated into English in Canada, set in the 50's.
  • Lupin the Third, the Japanese anime featuring the grandson of the original Arsène Lupin, set in modern times.

I have been a big fan of Leblanc’s Arsène Lupin longer than most of you have lived. I was thirteen when I first read a Lupin adventure. I have copies of all of Leblanc's books, including the original Je Sais Tout from June, 1905 - his very first published short story and I have collected Lupin memorabilia for the past forty years.

    I'll be back soon -
