Thou shalt not lie or kill, nor eat my cookies!!!

Has anyone played Sherlock Holmes: Case of the Rose Tattoo ? I am stuck. There is this little inn where you need to know the password before you can enter. Can anyone tell me what is the password? I'm tearing my hair out in despair!

So I'm guessing that no one is playing the Sherlock Holmes games anymore (even though they just released a new one). . .I was wondering if anyone had gotten to the smoky parlor room (level 4 Mystery of the Mummy) and/or had the patch for the puzzle behind the shield; I've been stuck on this for two years!

Since the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body (and vice versa), we now know that only left-handed people are truly in their right minds.

How do you get the key out of the lock in the living roon in Mystery of the Mummy?

Rik Shepherd - 05:04am Jan 11, 2009 PST(#30 of 33)
Another belief of mine: that everyone else my age is an adult, whereas I am merely in disguise (Margaret Atwood)

If it's the one on level 2, where you've gone from the library up the spiral staircase to the corridor with the bathroom in it, you need to

Slip a sheet of paper under the door (I can't remember exactly where you get the paper from, though)

Use a bit of wire to push the key out of the lock (you should have picked up the wire by looking at the collection of pipes in the cabinet in the corner)

You should then get a cut scene showing the key falling onto the paper and Holmes pulling the paper and the key under the door.

Hope that helps.

I am playing The Awakened now. This kind of game is new to me, but I am enjoying it. Anybody have trouble getting back and forth between first person and third person views? Sometimes I get stuck and I have to click all over the place for the option comes up to go back.

Pardon the shameless plug, but this may be interesting to the group: we've just released the first Sherlock Holmes interactive gamebook on the AppStore. "Murder at the Diogenes Club" is an interactive adaptation of the gamebook by Gerald Lientz published in the early 90s. More details at www.facebook.com/AppEndixLLC
