She's making breakfast in the kitchen.
He's getting dressed in the bedroom.
She's slicing bread.
He's finished dressing.
She's not finished the breakfast.
Where's my food?
Ready in a moment...

He comes to the kitchen.
She steps back.
My breakfast's not ready.
I'm sorry.

The little cow.
She lifts her arm in guard.
He marries his hand to her face.
She almost cries.
He almost laughs.
She goes back to the bread.
He watches critically.
She wonders if the knife will work on some thing harder and nastier.
She tries it.
He chokes.
She watches.
He falls.
What a mess.
She doesn't think the neighbors saw.
Where to put him?

Very interesting, and, I am sad to say, very much my sort of poem...

A poem that resounds with the truth of the ages. Bravo! I am glad you are brave enough to post it publicly.

A birth certificate shows you were born. A death certificate shows you have died. A photo album shows you have lived.

Interesting. I end up wondering how many times did the morning turn in to a fight before she killed him.

This is a great way to get students to be interested in the study of poetry in English language arts classes. Very interesting . . .

If caught, maybe she can plead temporary insanity.....great poem, makes you wonder what kind of mystery it would be if turned into a story.

I liked this poem... it makes you wonder how much this really happens to the wives today...
